The triumphs and struggles that accompanied this pandemic have reminded us of the importance of relying on and taking care of one another. In an effort to encourage team members to give back and support their communities, UCH has decided to add Martin Luther King Jr. Day to our roster of annual holidays.
In the future, we plan to use this holiday to complete service projects in the greater Philadelphia area. It is our hope that in doing so, we will form a greater bond with the communities we serve. Our MLK Day will foster an environment of compassion that extends beyond the walls of UCH and supports our goal of holistic development.
In the immortal words of Dr. King, “Make a career of humanity. You will make a better person of yourself, a greater nation of your country, and a finer world to live in.”
